Gold Coast Foodies – 5 New Restaurants To Visit

Last week, my husband and I took a short break and headed down to the Gold Coast to relax and unwind. We skipped the beaches and the pools (because a broken foot and can’t be anywhere near water) and instead, we decided to spend most of our time eating food and drinking coffee.

We set a mission to try as many new cafes as we could possibly fit in to our week. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was to be at a different place each day and we purposely tried to avoid the restaurants that we already know and love. This was a tricky challenge for us because we are usually very loyal to our favourite GC restaurants like Hellenika and Alfresco.

Here are some our foodie pics and a list of cafés we tried:

Manolis Bros Isle of Capri (Just Opened!)

BSKTMermaid Beach

Paleo Granola

Little Beans – Mermaid Beach

Sliders & Salad @ Little Beans

ELK – Broadbeach

MBD – Broadbeach

Healthy Breakfast @ Manolis Bros

Some of the other restaurants and cafes we visited included: Cafe Alfons, Pita Pan, the new markets on the Island of Capri (similar to Ferry Rd Markets) , Olli and Luca (although I must say that we were disapointed by the service in this restaurant – food was amazing), Sage Steak and Seafood Restaurant, Aura Tapas & Bar, Thyme Cafe at Main Beach, Little Truffle at Mermaid Beach and finally,  The Gelato Shop (x 5) – we broke the rules and ate dessert there almost every night!

What are your favourite cafes on the Gold Coast?
