Everyone in my Thermomix circle talks about: The Road To Loving My Thermo Mixer – also known as TRTLMT. Peta is the recipe creator of simple, tasty recipes and she is also a writer for The 4 Blades magazine.
On the blog, Peta shares her story about how she desperately wanted a Thermomix but then struggled to use it once she had it. Now Peta uses her Thermomix almost every day and she has created some amazing success with her blog as she helps other people to learn how to love their Thermo Mixer.
I was lucky enough to meet Peta at the ProBlogger Event this year and I had the opportunity to ask her a few questions about her Thermomix.
Here is what she said:
When did you first get your Thermomix?
I first saw a Thermomix in action exactly 5 years ago to the day when a close friend bought one. I longed for one for many years and finally bought one in the beginning of 2013.
How often do you use your Thermomix?
Every single day. Sometimes up to 10 times a day! I do cook for my family, my blog and for a Thermomix style of cooking digital magazine I co own though. I love that it saves me time in the kitchen every single day.
What is your favourite recipe?
Anything cheesecake! I love that I can whip up one in no time at all in my Thermomix. My Choc Peppermint Cheesecake is a fave! I am a sucker for homemade crackers and dip though!
What question do you get asked the most on your blog?
I get two questions asked almost daily. One from my readers and one from other food bloggers:
“Can I come live with you?” from my hilarious readers and “How have you been able to make a full-time income from your blog” from fellow bloggers.
I love questions! It means someone is reading the blog.
What is your best advice for someone who just purchased a new Thermomix?
Use it every single day. Cooking in a Thermomix is a whole new way of cooking. Give it time. Experiment lots. Just enjoy the thermie journey.
And as a side note to that, it’s ok to be overwhelmed when you first buy your machine. I actually bought mine and grew to dislike it somewhere. It just sat on my bench unused waiting to be listed on eBay until I decided to challenge myself to use it every single day for a week. That’s when my Facebook page and blog started!
