Buddha’s footprint is more of a religious grounds rather than a tourist sight. I think this is why there is no signage and it is very difficult to find. I felt more ‘dressed up’ than Nektarios but I was asked to cover my shoulders and change what I was wearing before entering the site. That was fine by me… Nektarios wore his thongs and singlet and it didn’t matter the slightest. We were accompanied by two beautiful dogs. They walked up all those stairs with us! Nekta picked up a stick and tried to play with the dogs but unfortunately they were very afraid of the stick and had no idea how to play fetch.
An enlightening experience!
