Our flight to the Maldives landed very late on Tuesday night and the plan was to stay somewhere cheap and close to Male Airport so that we didn’t waste a day at the beautiful resort. We were expecting some dodgy room for our first night but we were plesntly supprised with the hotel and the friendly service of the staff at the Traders Hotel in Male.
We were greeted at the airport by a lovely local lady with gorgeous curly hair and heaps of porters to carry all of our luggage. The speed boat which took us to the Traders Hotel was very flash and we received a bottle of water as well as cold face cloths which smelt like peppermint. The face cloths were such a nice gesture and exactly what we needed after two long flights, no sleep and a massive day walking aroud KL’s city centre.
I won’t say much more about the Traders hotel here on this blog but you can read my hotel review on Trip Advisor if you are interested (or if you plan to go to Male anytime soon).
Here are some pics of our room, the honeymoon cake, our buffet breakfast and the rooftop swimming pool/gym!
