Pear Juice – the best kept secret 😉
After you give birth, there seems to be a huge focus about your next trip to the toilet. The midwives will want to know when you next do a wee and more importantly when you do your first 💩
This concerns all mums regardless of the birth experience.
However if you have a cesarean then you will be given pain relieve such as endone. That drug will block you up but it is soooo good to take for your pain while in recovery.
(P.S. you have to ask for endone. You are not automatically given it. But this is a story for another post).
Anyway, pear juice is going to help soften that 💩 and allow your bowls to release.
Drink it every day… with every meal. You will thank me later.
You could also do prune juice however pear juice is so much nicer to taste.
At my hospital we were allowed to order room service. My standard breakfast was pear juice, porridge with stewed pears, yoghurt and a ham cheese tomato omelet with toast and bacon on the side.
I don’t normally eat that much but having a baby and breastfeeding makes you really hungry! I eat sooo much food in the first few week after birth.
Another good reason to continue drinking the pear juice.
I just bought a few bottles to have at home. It will continue to be part of my breakfast routine for a little while longer.
